Pabst Brewery was honored to host the 2017 Beer Blogger’s Conference in Brew City. In addition to having master brewer Greg Deuhs speak on the first morning, Pabst invited the registered attendees to a lunch at the brand new Pabst Milwaukee Brewery.
Conference goers were among the first to explore the newly renovated church-turned-brew pub. Featuring small group tours of the brewing facility, the new Pabst Brewery also offers up a few of the company’s heritage beers and new innovation brews. For this particular event, lunch was specially prepared, with tasting notes from our head brewer John Kimes, and chef Rebecca Berkshire.

1. Pabst Andeker
A Helles Lager, this crisp, bright beer’s malty body is built with Pilsner and Munich malts. Caramel malts add a touch of sweetness and depth of color and German noble hops are added for the traditional lager appeal. • 5 ABV, 16 BU, 7 SRM
2. Summer Solstice Wit
The aromatics from this beer are developed by the Belgian wit beer yeast, not the hops making for easy drinking with only slight bitterness. The flavors of coriander and the balance of sweet orange peel make this pale, hazy wheat beer a perfect summer picnic partner. • 5.0 ABV, 12 BU, 3 SRM
3. Nor’ Eastie Boys IPA
